Jenks Boomfest at the Oklahoma Aquarium


When: July 4, 6:30 p.m.

Fireworks start around 9:30 p.m.

Looking for the best view of the Jenks Boomfest fireworks show? Look no further than the Oklahoma Aquarium! Our riverfront backyard offers a front-row seat to the most dazzling Fourth of July display in the area. Visit the cool exhibits indoors, then head outside to watch the fireworks. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, but no outside food or coolers, please. Food truck and beverage options will be available, or you can grab a bite at our Coral Reef Café!

Members are free; non-members pay general admission rates. Parking available for $10/car.

Last tickets are sold at 8:30 p.m. and all aquarium exhibits close at 9 p.m.


Road Closures & Traffic info

The Jenks Pedestrian Bridge will be closed from 12:00 a.m. on July 4th until 12:00 a.m. on July 5, 2021. The Main/96th Street Bridge will be closed from 8:30 p.m. and remain closed for 30-45 minutes after the completion of the fireworks display for cool down and time to clear the bridge for any possible fireworks that did not explode.

The 96th Street Bridge will be closed from 8:30 PM until approximately 11:00 PM on July 4, 2021. (Bridge will remained closed for 30-45 minutes after the completion of the show for mandatory cooldown and checks.) 

Closures will only be around the River Bridge. 
Anyone wishing to go across the bridge is asked to wait the 30-45 minute cooldown period or take a one of the following recommended routes shown on the map belowThe 96th St Bridge is on the far right side of the map, when looking at it.
Boomfest road closures 2021

1. RED AREA: All traffic north of the Riverwalk main entrance are should travel to the North Riverwalk exit. That traffic will travel westbound on "K" Pl (91st St) towards the 4-way stop at Elm (Peoria) and "K" Pl. Traffic will continue westbound towards Elwood Ave and Hwy 75 on "K" Pl.

2.  GREEN AREA: All traffic south of the Main entrance to Riverwalk Dr. South exit (Los Cabos exit), Waterfront Grill, and First Bank area should travel to 9th Street then travel westbound on "A" Street towards the Main and Elm and then continue West on Main Street to Hwy 75. 

Once the 96TH Street Bridge is reopened (30 - 45minutes after the completion of the fireworks display), traffic will be redirected to allow for traffic to travel eastbound across the 96th Street Bridge into Tulsa. All west bound traffic will be held for additional time to allow foot traffic to cross the bridge. 

3. BLUE AREA: All traffic south of Aquarium Pl\ Apache, in the Aquarium area should travel westbound on 101ST Street to Elm Street. Traffic will continue south on Elm Street or enter the Creek Turnpike (East or West bound)
