Symphony by the Sea for Students

Dates and experience

March 10-12, 2020

Experience an aquatic field trip in the arts and sciences through a partnership with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra. Students visit three galleries in the aquarium to learn about a particular animal or habitat combined with a selected musical ensemble—like sharks and strings! Teachers can register their school groups online.

*Groups with more than 20 students, paying with a single form of payment are eligible to register online and receive the group rates listed below.

HOmeschool Groups and individuals 

Symphony by the Sea for students is designed for field trip groups; however, we are still open to the public while the program is going on. If you cannot attend in a field trip group (i.e. plan to attend with fewer than 20 students), you are welcome to visit while the event is taking place; but you will not be eligible to receive group pricing or make a reservation.

*Field trip groups earn 1 free chaperone for every 5 students in Pre-K-2nd grade and 1 free chaperone for every 10 students in 3rd grade and above; all additional chaperones will cost $10 plus tax.

Members may still use their membership to gain admission during Symphony by the Sea, unless you are attending in a field trip group. Chaperones who are paying separately from the field trip group may use their memberships as well.

Program Schedule (May be modified):

  • 9:30-10 a.m.
    Group arrival and check-in
  • 10-10:10 a.m.
    Welcome and orientation
  • 10:10-10:15 a.m.
    Groups move to first gallery
  • 10:15-10:35 a.m.
    Groups listen to presenters at the first station
  • 10:35-10:40 a.m.
    Groups rotate to second gallery 
  • 10:40-11 a.m.
    Groups listen to presenters at the second station
  • 11-11:05 a.m.
    Groups rotate to third station
  • 11:05-11:25 a.m.
    Groups listen to presenters at the third station
  • 11:25-11:30 a.m.
    All groups move to the Great Hall
  • 11:30 a.m.
    Closing comments, lunch, and free time
